Sustainability in International Education

In this resource, NAFSA’S 2020–21 Senior Fellows consider the intersections of sustainability and international education. To prompt reflection on the purpose and power of international education and intentionality in seeking positive environmental impacts, the authors outline what a more values-driven approach might look like.

They cover the following topics: 

• the urgency of the need to rethink the role of international educators 
• how international education could serve as a vehicle for addressing the next generation’s climate concerns and building their capacity to effect change
