The CAL Subcommittee Representative serves as a member-at-large on the EA RP and is appointed by the vice president for public policy and practice. The CAL Subcommittee of the EA RP Committee is charged with developing relationships with visa officers at international consulates in the United States

The Chair takes the lead role in ensuring that the Academy for International Education continues to meet the training needs of newcomers, those in transition, and those who have taken on new or expanded responsibilities.
