Since 1954, Region III has been a vibrant part of the larger NAFSA structure. Many of the region’s members have served in high, national-level positions and have been recognized with many awards and honors.

Team Leadership

A team of professionals manage the events and resources offered in Region III; this team consist of a chair stream as well as Conference Planner, Budget Manager, Development Chair, Registrar and Communication Liaison. In addition to these positions, the Leadership Team also includes Knowledge Communities Liaisons, State Liaisons, Regulatory Specialists, a Training Coordinator and the NAFSA Academy Coach. Region III offers professional development for all international education practitioners in the region through the annual regional conference, state meetings, and on-demand workshops.

Awards

Every year at our region's annual conference we recognize individuals who are making significant contributions to the field of international education and exchange. We welcome nominations for both of our regional awards throughout the year. Learn more about the awards.

Region III Mentor Program

Individuals of all experience levels and from all areas of international education are invited to join the Region III Mentor Program.  Mentor and Mentee pairs will meet periodically, virtually or in person, throughout the year and attend a few all-group gatherings through the program.  Scheduling and time commitments will be flexible between mentors and mentees. 

Want to be part of this great program?  Please apply!  There is no fee to join the Region III Mentor Program, and NAFSA membership is not required.
