Please note that:
Awardees and Grantees must be in attendance at the Regions IV and V Bi-Regional Conference. Awardees and Grantees will be recognized at the Spooktacular Halloween Party and Award Ceremony on Thursday, October 31st.
Region V Grants:

Region V will offer five (5) Travel Grants to the 2024 NAFSA Regions IV and V Bi-Regional Conference. Grantees must register themselves for the Conference before the Early Bird Discount ends on Friday, October 11th. Grantees will be provided additional information when they are notified of the award.

PATTI JONES AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP
The Patti Jones Award is named in honor of Patti Jones (Western Illinois University), who has provided many years of service to Region V and the regional team. The award is presented in recognition of outstanding leadership, contributions, and dedication to Region V, the regional team, and to the internationalization of American higher education. $250 to support professional development.
REGION V NEW PROFESSIONAL AWARD
Established by the Region V Team in 2014, the New Professional Award recognizes an individual in the region who has made an outstanding contribution to international education through his or her enthusiasm, potential for leadership, and actual accomplishments in his or her institution or community and Region V. To be eligible, the individual may have no more than three years experience in the field. $250 to support professional development.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION IN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION AWARD
Established by the Region V team in 2020, this award recognizes an international education professional in the region whose work fosters inclusive practices, promotes diversity, or advances equitable systems at their institution or beyond. $250 to support professional development.
MARILYN BOYD FOREIGN BORN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATOR (FIBE) AWARD
Region V is pleased to announce it has designated an award for an FBIE (Foreign Born International Educator) to recognize the contributions the person has made to the field of international education and to encourage FBIE participation in the Region V Conference. The award may be used to cover travel, meals, and/or accommodation. Preference will be given to first-time attendees and international students wishing to enter the field of international education. $250 to support professional development.
