Social Justice and International Education: Research, Practice, and Perspectives highlights the innovative work of educators, scholars, and practitioners promoting social justice, confronting inequality, and fostering social responsibility in a global context. NAFSA’s Vice President for Public Policy and Practice LaNitra M. Berger, PhD discussed this compilation. As the editor of this volume, she explored the many ways in which international education and social justice are currently being integrated, the history of this work, and its importance for our future.

This event explored how the various facets of social justice inform practice and research in international education. Berger highlighted how practitioners across the field of international education perceive and integrate social justice concepts into their work, seek to confront inequities, and strive to provide students and colleagues with a sense of shared global responsibility.
