Refreshed in 2022, the NAFSA International Education Professional Competencies 2.0 advance the professionalization of the field and influence the development of the future international education workforce. As a reminder, the competencies should be viewed as a whole and not individually, as each competency necessarily supports the others. Throughout 2023, NAFSA hosted four live sessions featuring conversations around interrelated subsets of the updated competencies. International educators at all career levels and across all sectors of the field can learn from these conversations.
