Guided by the NAFSA Strategic Plan, the NAFSA Partner Workshops collaborate very closely with institutional, state, district, and regional hosts to develop foundational skills and knowledge and strengthen International Education Professional Competencies™ throughout the year by offering the NAFSA Core Education Program workshops you need, when you need them.
The mission of the NAFSA Partner Workshops to:
- Provide professional development opportunities responsive to the needs of the field
- Create and disseminate knowledge and resources to the field

How Does It Work?
Host
- Participate in consultation with NAFSA staff
- Choose appropriate NAFSA Core Education Program Workshop(s) based on learning and training needs
- Coordinate and manage registration and payment of participants
- Select and connect with appointed Trainer Corps trainer(s)
- Promote your event and the NAFSA CEP Workshops
- Provide the training space and day-of support to trainers and participants
- Provide NAFSA staff with participant information
NAFSA
- Lead consultation with host(s) and provide guidance on appropriate training opportunities available
- Assist in recruitment and appointment NAFSA Trainer Corps trainer(s) as necessary
- Provide training materials, administers evaluation process, and provides certificates to participants
- Invoice host
Who Participates?
- Host selects the group
- A minimum of 6 participants is suggested. The interactive, participatory curriculum is most successful with a larger group
What Is the Cost to Host Per Workshop?
- The base cost paid to NAFSA is $1,149 and covers up to six participants. For each additional participant, the cost is $189 per person
- For every 15 paying registrants, one complementary registration will be awarded to the host and will appear as a credit on the final invoice
- Trainer reimbursement (at your own discretion)
