Diversity in Hiring Practices

Join NAFSA for an online open meeting on diversity in hiring practices. Anize Appel, EdD, and Stephanie Holleran from NAFSA’s Membership Engagement Committee hosts a panel discussion featuring Lakeisha Thorpe, PhD, diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant, and Lahaja Furaha, director of diversity and inclusion at The Washington Post. Panelists will share tangible suggestions and best practices to assist, augment, and increase diversity in hiring practices for organizations. Later, in open discussion, all participants may add to the collective knowledge methods that can be used to diversify the lens of hiring teams, committees, and managers. The discussion promises to be a time filled with reflection, inspiration, and connection.
