On July 29, 2011, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) sent Broadcast Message 1107-04 to SEVIS school officials, to explain how to respond to requests for school transfer made by F-1 students currently attending University of Northern Virginia. On July 28, 2011, SEVP had issued a Notice of Intent to Withdraw (NOIW) that school’s SEVIS certification. SEVP also posted separate guidance for the students themselves on the SEVP Web site.
On August 15, 2011, SEVP updated their July 29 broadcast message with Broadcast Message 1107-04A, to advise schools that SEVP accepted UNVA's appointment of new DSOs, and to instruct transfer-in schools to contact the SEVIS Help Desk rather than the SEVP Response Center for assistance in managing student records.
