NAFSA Joins AAU, COGR, and APLU In Comments On Revised USCIS I-129 Deemed Export Attestation ProposalOn July 30, 2010, NAFSA joined the Association of American Universities (AAU), the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR), and the Association of Public Land-Grant Universities (APLU), in a comment letter responding to USCIS's revised proposal to include a "deemed export" compliance attestation on Form I-129.
The joint letter encourages USCIS to give further consideration to the concerns that these organizations raised in their comments to USCIS's original proposal, focusing on five specific areas that impact university research.
