Since 1988, the education abroad community of NAFSA has accepted nominations for the recognition of outstanding professionals:
- The Lily von Klemperer Award for mid-career professionals.
- The Education Abroad Leadership Award for seasoned professionals.
These awards are presented at the NAFSA annual conference each year. The EAKC Awards are managed by a special Task Force.
