This Webinar was cohosted with the Alliance for International Exchange, with collaboration from Cultural Vistas.

As part of the CHIPS for America Act, the Department of State’s BridgeUSA program launched the J-1 STEM Research Initiative to help boost domestic tech manufacturing and innovation in the United States.

The J-1 STEM Research Initiative aims to attract international talent and foster collaboration between U.S. and international researchers and professionals in the STEM fields. By doing so, it helps address the workforce needs and innovation goals outlined by the Administration. This includes building a robust talent pipeline and fostering higher-education and industry partnerships.

Learn how your university or organization can help the U.S. attract global talent, enhance workforce development and promote innovation and collaboration by strategically utilizing the J-1 visa programs. (J-1 categories include: College/University Student, Intern, Professor, Research Scholar, Short-Term Scholar, Specialist, and Trainee)
