Meet Rebin Muhammad. Currently he is a Ph.D. candidate and a Ring Theory researcher for Ohio University. In his free time, he volunteers his time teaching mathematics to underprivileged students in his community.

- Researcher at Ohio University’s Center for Ring Theory and its Applications; Ring Theory is key in the design of codes that facilitate space travel, digital communications, and high-fidelity music recording
- Volunteers with Southeast Ohio Math Teachers’ Circle and The Math League of Southeast Ohio, which coordinates math-related activities for diverse groups of kids ages 12-16
- Participated in Upward Bound program at Ohio University which teaches university-level math classes to potential first-generation U.S. college students
