Whitney Longnecker

Whitney Longnecker is the Director of Study Abroad at Texas Tech University (TTU) where she oversees all aspects of TTU study abroad programming, including traveler advising, training, and support, program development, emergency preparedness and response, and more. Her personal study abroad experiences in England, China, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago ignited her passion for education abroad and led to her career in international education. She earned a MA in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute.Whitney has experience working with both higher education institutions and third-party study abroad providers including Central College Abroad, the Institute for Shipboard Education | Semester at Sea, and the Pennsylvania State University. Whitney is a frequent presenter and trainer on topics such as international risk mitigation and traveler health and safety. Whitney’s current NAFSA experiences include serving as a co-poster fair organizer for the annual conference and expo and as a Trainer Corps member, both since 2019.
