Vera Bell

Vera earned their Bachelor's degree in English in 2020 prior to joining the Global Learning Hub at UC Davis as an Enrollment and Operations Officer in November of 2022. However, Vera considers themselves to be more of a storyteller than a scholar or professional, one interested in how we can turn lived experiences into immersive stories that we can remember and retell forever. Inspired by the vivid, expressive imaginations of the authors who came before them, Vera’s passion for storytelling carries in to their work today, where promoting their office’s initiative, "Global Education for All ” with a DEI lens, has been their main focus. They are interested in being intentional with their advocacy, support, and retention of under-resourced students in higher education, wanting all students to have the chance to actualize their dreams of obtaining a global learning experience.
