Steven D. Boyd

Steven D. Boyd is the Dean of Enrollment Management & Student Life and a Lecturer in Management at Unification Theological Seminary in New York City. He also currently serves as International Recruitment Advisor for Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. He is an Affiliate with Gateway International Group, specializing in International Student Recruitment and Admissions. With 20 years of experience in higher education, Steven’s expertise lies in Strategic International Student Recruitment and Admissions.

Steven previously served as Executive Director of Graduate and International Admissions at the University of New Haven, and for many years was Director of International Admissions at the University of Bridgeport. His work has taken him 60 countries.

He is former President of the American International Recruitment Council (AIRC) and served as a member of AIRC’s Board of Directors for several years. He currently serves on the US Advisory Board for Uniquest.

Prior to embarking on a career in higher education, Steven lived and worked in Montevideo, Uruguay for 20 years with his wife and three children, where he was a teacher, simultaneous interpreter, international conference organizer, and translator for a major daily newspaper.

As an undergraduate student at the University of Kansas, Steven was first exposed to the world of international higher education as a participant in a Study Abroad program in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Steven is a frequent presenter at NAFSA, EducationUSA Forum, NACUBO, EnglishUSA, ICEF, AIRC, and others. He has a BA in Liberal Arts and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing.
