Shannon Ingleby
Shannon Ingleby started her career in International Education while teaching and living in China. After living overseas for three years, she understands the difficulties of moving to a new country and can also celebrate the many ways that living and studying abroad positively impacts an individual. Other prior professional positions include admissions at Adler University and international student advising at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. In her current role at Kirkwood, she serves as the PDSO, specializing in F1 student visa advising and strategizing international admissions and recruitment. One of the most enjoyable parts of her job is advising the International Student Leadership Team. Shannon has held several positions within NAFSA including current Academy Chair-Designate, Academy Coach, Region IV Conference Planner, Registrar, Development Coordinator and Community College Rep. She most recently participated in a Fulbright IEA in Japan which helped develop her knowledge of the field. Shannon holds an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and a B.A. in Psychology from Central College.
