
Sara Young-Singh
Sara Young-Singh is currently the Executive Director of the Office of International Services at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In previous positions she served as Director of International Admissions at Pace University, Director of International Programs at Felician University and the Director of the Center of International Education at Rider University, In all of her roles she has remained committed to being instrumental to improving the lives of students, both domestic and international.
Social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion are values that she lives by in her professional and personal life. She remains dedicated to learning and growing with students and colleagues with a commitment to building the institution’s growth and ensuring success through targeted outreach and high impact engagement.
Over the course of Sara’s tenure, one of her achievements was building up the comprehensive internationalization plan that revolved around student engagement. Some examples of her success through this initiative were how she elevated peer to peer mentoring, supported students seeking leadership opportunities, and revised new student orientation to strengthen the student’s connection to the university community. As a study abroad leader, she expanded institutional partnerships to not only offer programming for students abroad but to also diversify the international student population on campus. More recently her responsibilities have shifted and she is focused on mitigating institutional risks associated with immigration, export control, and international travel. Sara’s been successful with securing and embracing a myriad of professional experiences and responsibilities over the course of her career and seeks to support those searching for new roles within international education.
