Orlina Boteva

Orlina Boteva is Director of International Programs at the University of Maine. Boteva oversees campus internationalization, education abroad, international student and scholar services and the Intensive English Institute. Boteva served as the NAFSA Maine State Rep for 2014 - 2016 and the Leadership Development Committee 2022-2023. She has presented at the regional and national conferences on international education trends, risk management and education abroad topics. She holds two master’s degrees in Higher Education and History from University of Maine, and a B.A. in International Relations from American University in Bulgaria. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Higher Education at the University of Maine.
