Mireille McLaughlin

I participated in the NAFSA Academy as a mentee in 2009 and benefited immensely from the experience and would love to give back by serving as a Coach. I have a breadth of experience in international education including study abroad and academic advising, international student advising, international admissions and program design and management. I have worked at both small institutions and large sending and receiving students and scholars and believe I could offer a broad perspective of the field to newcomers. I have managed and mentored international education staff for years and new NAFSA members through NAFSA Region XI. I love introducing people to the field and learning from them and their new perspectives. In the last few years I have been less involved than I was in the past due to family and work obligations, but I am hoping to once again give back to NAFSA by serving as a Coach and I look forward to the opportunity not only to mentor newcomers to the field but also to collaborate with other coaches and build my NAFSA network.
