Mariette Thomas, MA
Mariette Thomas is the Director of the Center for International Education at Loyola University New Orleans. She has also worked Tulane University, ArtCenter College of Design, Babson College, IFSA-Butler and ISA. Thomas has been active in NAFSA for 20 years, has held leadership positions at regional and national levels, and has presented at regional and national conferences. In 2022, Mariette chaired the NAFSA Education Abroad Knowledge Community and in 2023 she served on the NAFSA Annual Conference Committee for Washington, DC. She holds a MA in international relations from the University of the Pacific and a BA in international studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her professional interests include comprehensive internationalization, management in international education, diversity and inclusion, and intercultural communication.
