Kimberley Cossey
Kimberley Cossey serves as the NAFSA Region VIII registrar. She is a PhD student in the higher education program at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Her dissertation research focuses on the relationship of academic research to strategic planning and practice at community colleges. Kim previously worked as an international student advisor at Reynolds Community College in Richmond, VA, and Virginia Tech, working with students on academic, immigration, and adjustment issues. She has a BA in Russian studies from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, and an MA in intercultural relations from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. Kim is a current board member and past president of Virginia International Educators and presents frequently on international student and immigration issues at Virginia International Educators and NAFSA regional conferences. She spent time as both a student and a teacher in St. Petersburg, Russia.
