Kelly Poppen
Kelly Poppen is the Director of International Student Services at Miami Dade College. She has worked in the field of international education for nearly 20 years, with positions in both study abroad and international student services, at institutions including James Madison University, Central Washington University, and the European University of Canary Islands. Kelly has held various leadership roles at the state and regional levels, including on the Boards of Florida Association of International Educators, Study Florida Consortium, NAFSA Region VII Leadership Team, and South Florida District Export Council. She is also a member of NAFSA’s Trainer Corps and regularly leads workshops at national, regional, and state conferences. Kelly completed her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University, holds a Master’s degree in Psychology/College Student Personnel Administration from James Madison University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership at Florida Atlantic University.
