Kara Johnson

Kara is Director of International Admission at Elmhurst University. Although she now focuses on international recruitment and admissions, she has extensive experience in international student services, as well as study abroad and international partnerships. Prior to Elmhurst, Kara worked at Governors State University, Illinois Institute of Technology, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently she serves on the Illinois District Export Council and as an external reviewer for American International Recruitment Council (AIRC). Additionally, Kara has held numerous leadership roles in NAFSA, Study Illinois, and International Educators of Illinois, including NAFSA Annual Conference Content Chair and Workshop Chair, Chair of NAFSA Region V, and Region V Conference Chair.
