Jonathan (Jonny) Summers

Jonathan has been working in International recruitment and student services for over 15 years. He is currently the Director of International Student Services at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. As Director, Jonathan oversees International recruitment, immigration services, and advising and planning.  Jonathan has been a member of NAFSA for several years and loves the opportunity to connect with fellow international educators and professionals. Prior to Cedar Crest College, Jonathan was the Associate Director of international student Services at Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, where he specialized in immigration services and planning. Jonathan holds a BA in Elementary Education from Keystone College, and a master’s in business from Wilkes University. He aspires of starting his doctorate in the near future. As a native of England and a previous international student himself, Jonathan has had the opportunity to experience the true benefits of international education and now feels fortunate to be able to help new international students realize their educational goals. Jonathan is excited to share his experience and continue to learn from those within the NAFSA networks.
