Jean Wenner

Jean (she/ her/ hers) is an immigration specialist in the Office of International Services at the University of Pittsburgh. Jean is what they call a “boomerang” Pittsburgher! After growing up in the City of Bridges, she has studied, worked, and lived around the world before returning to her roots. Prior to joining Pitt, she taught English as a foreign language in Thailand for a year and previously worked in education abroad in Idaho. Jean earned her bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Communications from Bowling Green State University and has a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. When she’s not working, you will find her with her two goofy goldendoodles, crocheting cute things, or spending time with family and friends.
