Hiromi Mei Cooley

Hiromi “Mei” Cooley is the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (UC Law SF), formerly known as UC Hastings. She handles all visa-related matters for international scholars and students as the PDSO and the RO of UC Law SF, and she also administers application processes for the graduate programs. Mei has been an active member of the NAFSA Trainer Corps since 2017. She also serves as the Region XII Chair for the One-Person Office (OPO) Member Interest Group for NAFSA. Mei has over 15 years of experience in international student and scholar advising, international student admissions, and new student onboarding and orientation programming. Mei received her B.A. in Anthropology and Educational Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. She has lived in East Asia and Southeast Asia before coming to the United States, and she has also spent time volunteering in Central America.
