Gina Schmitz

Gina Schmitz is originally from Nicaragua, she graduated from the University of Mobile in 2000 and completed her MBA at USI in the spring of 2020. In 2018 she began a new role as an international admissions coordinator. Her passion and energy drove her to help her new coworkers in their development of new marketing strategies for international recruitment. Through her various roles in her career, she understands the perceived and real hurdles international students can face and makes it her goal to find ways to engage with them and ensure a positive experience. She has been instrumental in the growth of USI's international partnerships and the recruitment of students from across the globe and continues to challenge herself and her institution to find new and better ways to connect and engage with students throughout the entire recruitment and enrollment process.
