Evelyn Levinson has promoted international education and access to scholarship opportunities for international students for over 40 years. Her global experience as the EducationUSA director for Fulbright Israel, higher education scholarship development specialist at USAID West Bank/Gaza, USF-Tampa international admissions associate director, and international admissions director at American University, Washington, DC, have strengthened her commitment to the importance of international education for global tolerance, peace building, and dialog. 

Levinson has been an active NAFSA member, trainer, mentor, advocate, and presenter for EducationUSA, Department of State's ECA branch, NAFSA, WES, USF, and American University, serving stateside and overseas in numerous national leadership positions since 1994. She is the 2007 recipient of the Homer Higbee Award and the 2015 NAFSA Awardee for Outstanding Contributions to IEM. She was 2011 national chair of the Recruitment, Admissions, and Preparation Knowledge Community (now IEM KC) and first LDC Chair. She has authored numerous articles and publications on strategic international enrollment management and retention, and was project coordinator for the U.S. State Department's 2001 series "If You Want to Study in the United States." Since her retirement from AU in early 2025, she is now focused on consulting institutions and government organizations on Strategic IEM and successful scholarship implementation and management.
