Emily Wang

Dr. Emily Wang is the Assistant Director of International Affairs at the University of Michigan- Dearborn. She has been in the field of international education for over 20 years. She is the recipient of the University of Michigan President's Award for Distinguished Services in International Education in 2024. She serves diverse communities by creating inclusive learning experiences, fostering a welcoming campus, and establishing educational opportunities for students to study beyond the United States. Dr. Wang’s areas of specialization include intercultural mentoring, international programming, and non-immigration regulations. She is a member of NAFSA and NAFSA Trainer Corps and presents at multiple conferences on topics of interculturalism. Her research interests include cultural identity, international student engagement, and global initiatives.
