Cindy Xinquan Jiang, PhD

Cindy Xinquan Jiang, PhD serves as the senior research associate in the Office of International Affairs at The Ohio State University. Her research involves a wide range of issues in international education including intercultural learning and competence, cross-cultural communication and adaptation, international student experience, high impact study abroad practices, and assessment of global learning outcomes. Jiang began her research career as an international graduate student. She received her PhD in higher education from the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education at the University of Michigan. Jiang holds an undergraduate degree in communication from Shanghai International Studies University and a master’s degree in interpersonal and public communication with specialization in intercultural communication. She enjoys learning new languages. Jiang speaks fluent Chinese, Korean and English, and is now learning Japanese and Spanish. She previously served as the Programs and Resources Coordinator for the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship Knowledge Community (TLS KC).
