Christina M. Luther

Christina M. Luther is the Director of International Student and Scholar Services at Portland State University, where she oversees the advising of the F, J, and H populations. She has been leading NAFSA workshops at the local and regional level for most of the 30 years she has been advising. Christina served as the regional representative for NAFSA's Academy III in Region I and was the workshop chair in Region I for 5 years, including three regional and two bi-regional conferences. She served as Regulatory Ombudsman for Region I for 6 years and served one term as the Workshop Dean for the F-1 Advising: Intermediate Core Education Program curriculum. Most recently, Christina served on NAFSA's International Student and Scholar Regulatory Practice subcommittee. Christina will be retiring in June and considers her engagement with NAFSA to be one of the most important aspects of her work in International Education.
