Cheryl Darrup-Boychuck
NAFSA presented Cheryl with their Annual Award for Outstanding Contributions to International Enrollment Management in 2018, largely for her research in measuring Return on Investment within the sector. Cheryl's Funds Verification Initiative emerged from her work on ROI, as she pursued improvements to the proof-of-funding phase of due diligence in international admissions to ultimately elevate genuine applicants.
FundsV empowers visa applicants and their financial sponsors to authenticate their online banking data -- replacing requests to upload easily manipulated paper-based bank statements or screenshots.
In her professional volunteer capacity, Cheryl sat on the Editorial Board of NAFSA's award-winning magazine "International Educator" between 2009 and 2020. She also currently serves as Treasurer for “Be the Voice of Girls.”
