Carolina Robinson, PhD
Dr. Carolina Robinson is the Director of Education Abroad at The University of Alabama. She has strategic and operational oversight for the Education Abroad office while maintaining a focus UA’s faculty-led portfolio. Carolina has 19 years of experience in international education with expertise in strategic partnerships, grants & scholarships, diversity & inclusion, budgets, curriculum integration, and international risk management. Carolina serves on several national boards for study abroad organizations and has previously served as the inaugural Development Coordinator for NAFSA Region VII leadership team. Carolina contributes regularly to the field and has presented national trainings for the U.S. State Department’s Gilman and Critical Language scholarships. Originally from Colombia, South America, she has earned degrees in Instructional Technology from Clemson University, The University of Georgia, and The University of Alabama. Carolina’s most important role is being a mom and cheerleader to her three kids, Andre, Elisa, and Isabella.
