Bianca Sylvain is a dedicated international education professional with over seven years of experience in the field. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Outbound Student Services at St. John’s University, where she is passionate about fostering equitable access to global learning opportunities and empowering students to thrive in an interconnected world.Bianca’s journey as a professional began as a study abroad advisor in the SUNY system, where she advocated for accessibility and affordability for all students. As a past recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, she is committed to helping students secure funding and overcome financial barriers to participate in transformative global experiences. Her work focuses on enhancing study abroad programs, policies, and curricula to address diverse student needs, foster academic success, and prepare students for an increasingly interconnected world.Bianca’s own life-changing study abroad experience at Charles University in the Czech Republic through the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) continues to inspire her dedication to the field.She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business.Outside of her professional life, Bianca loves traveling with her family, especially her daughter, and experiencing the world through her child’s eyes.
