Aya Hara-Joesting

Aya Hara-Joesting is the Interim Program Manager of the Office of International Programs and a lecturer at Leeward Community College - University of Hawaii Community Colleges. Aya has been in the field of International Education for almost 20 years. She currently serves as a Two-year College Knowledge Community Representative for the NAFSA Hawai'i & Pacific District and as a NAFSA Trainer Corps member and delivers the Core Education Program Workshops. Aya also serves on the executive board of an educational consortium, Study Hawaii. Prior to joining the University of Hawaii in 2017, Aya worked as an International Student Advisor in Southern California community colleges for 10+ years. She enjoys working with people from around the world.
