Adilia Ross
Adilia Ross is an Assistant Director at the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) at the University of Nevada, Reno (Nevada). She started working at OISS in June 1999 while pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biology at Nevada. Upon completing her degree, while still working at OISS, she attended Truckee Meadows Community College for an associate’s degree in Dental Assisting with the intention of going on to dental school. As she worked as a Dental Assistant, Adilia realized that her heart was in international education. Throughout her time working as a Dental Assistant, she maintained her employment at OISS. In January 2009, Adilia was fortunate to start as an International Student Advisor at OISS and her career in international education blossomed. She has since received a Master of Science in Equity and Diversity in Education with a Graduate Certificate in Social Justice from Nevada in May 2019. In January 2021, she became the Assistant Director for OISS. She has served on regional and district teams as well as presented at regional and district conferences. Adilia currently serves as the past chair for the Region XII Nevada District.
