De La Paz Education Services
Speaker, 2020-2021 RISE Fellow

Adán De La Paz is the Principal Consultant, Coach, and Founder of De La Paz Education Services. His firm provides customized support to individuals, institutions, and organizations seeking to advance their leadership of belonging, mattering, and safety by building richer communities of empathy, understanding, and solidarity.

From 2020-21, Adán was an inaugural recipient of the highly competitive NAFSA RISE Fellowship. This experience gave him the opportunity to develop a unique framework that allows individuals from various identity and cultural dimensions, no matter where they are on their personal or professional journey, to advance their inclusive and equitable leadership utilizing an intercultural toolset.

Furthermore, Adán was selected for a coveted Coaching for Everyone Fellowship from 2023-24. This intensive BIPOC coaching cohort was a level two certificate program with the highly respected Institute for Integrative Intelligence where he became a Certified Professional Integrative Coach. This training has also served as a precursor to his pursuit of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentialing with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Coaching has become a vital addition to De La Paz Education Services, grounded in the belief that focusing on three key areas leads individuals to achieve optimal success: 1) heightened selfawareness, 2) increased self-reflection, and 3) elevated self-generation.

Prior to starting his own company, Adán was the Assistant Director of Inclusion and Intercultural Engagement and managed International Education at The College of Idaho. During his six years at the College, record growth resulted in both marginalized domestic and international students reaching over 40% of the overall population and hailing from more than 90 countries. This allowed him to design identity-centered and culturally responsive programming to lead effectively across difference.
