Position: Network Leader, International Enrollment Management Knowledge Community Network
Term Dates: Two-year term, renewable for one additional term (maximum of four years)
The International Enrollment Management Knowledge Community provides professional development opportunities, programs, and resources for those in the fields of admissions, credential evaluation, marketing and recruitment, international enrollment technology and communication, overseas educational advising, intensive English programs, and sponsored program administration. The Network Leader provides oversight and coordination of the IEM KC discussion forum as a primary vehicle of the IEM KC for disseminating knowledge and sharing pertinent information for IEM professionals, including KC updates, promotion of new resources, and contributing to a vibrant discussion forum on topics of importance to the field.

Major Functions and Responsibilities
Within the framework of NAFSA’s Strategic Plan, this position will:
- Manage and actively participate in the IEM KC discussion forum.
- Create and coordinate high-quality, timely resources based on discussion forum topics.
- Monitor subscriber needs.
- Recruit effective volunteers to support resource creation.
- Connect the IEM community to appropriate NAFSA resources.
- Collaborate with other network leaders on cross-network initiatives.
- Collaborate with the NAFSA staff partner to achieve these goals.

In recent years, this position has coordinated projects such as:
- Annual Conference open meeting about digital recruitment
- Webinar on the changing role of agents
- Webinar on building and sustaining international enrollment through hybrid and online program offerings
Commitment
- Assure NAFSA membership through the length of the leadership term.
- Confirm for a two-year term, renewable once, upon agreement with IEM KC leadership, for a maximum term of four years.
- Prepare for and attend leadership meetings throughout the year. Most meetings are virtual.
- Support IEM KC activities at the Annual Conference.
- Dedicate approximately four to six hours per month to the role.
- Foster an inclusive environment in alignment with the NAFSA Diversity and Inclusion Statement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in the IEM field.
- Previous volunteer/presentation experience with NAFSA.
- Specific knowledge of – and currently working in – recruitment, advising, marketing, admissions, international enrollment technology and communication, financial aid, credential evaluation, intensive English programs, and/or sponsored programs.
- An active interest in assisting colleagues with professional and leadership development.
- Ability to work effectively with a team in an outcomes-based environment.
- Willingness to adopt organization-wide perspectives.
