International students make important contributions to U.S. innovation, cutting-edge research, and Americans’ understanding of the world. They are essential to the exchange of ideas and intercultural understanding on our campuses, in our communities, and in our workplaces. The United States must do more to attract a greater and more diverse population of international students and ensure their success.
NAFSA and several other associations and industry partners have formed a new coalition dedicated to supporting international students throughout each step of their journey in the United States. The creation of the U.S. for Success Coalition reflects a commitment to working together as diverse stakeholders to remove barriers and find solutions focused on international student success in the classroom, on campus, and in the workforce. The coalition will speak to members of Congress and government officials with a unified voice to urge their support for policies that would increase and diversify the community of international students choosing the United States to study, research, and work.
