The 2024 Case Study Competition is a special program included with registration for the NAFSA 2024 Annual Conference & Expo. No additional registration or fee is required to participate in the competition or attend the presentations and judging session!
The field of international education is constantly changing. Today’s students and young professionals are the future changemakers. The Case Study Competition encourages students and young professionals to intentionally connect with their Annual Conference & Expo experience by role-playing and acting as international education professionals at a fictional institution to address a specified real-world scenario. Participants collaborate in teams of 3-5 individuals acting as professionals within an international education office team at a fictional institution—working as a team, actively learning from professionals in the field, and connecting disparate threads from attendance at the wide variety of programming and networking opportunities available at the conference. At the end of the week, individual teams present their ideas and recommendations to address the provided real-world scenario to a panel of experienced international education professionals. All are welcome to attend the presentations and judging session. The winning team will be recognized in many ways at and beyond the conference.
The Case Study Competition is a Special Program offered by NAFSA's Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship Knowledge Community (TLS KC).
