Position: Coordinator for Regional Outreach
Term Dates: Two-year term, renewable for one term (maximum of 4 years)
The volunteers who lead the Education Abroad Knowledge Community (EA KC) strive to sustain and develop timely resources, tools, and model practices for education abroad, including study, internships, service-learning, and research abroad. The Coordinator for Regional Outreach connects the work of the EAKC community with the eleven NAFSA regions and their education abroad appointed liaisons.

Major Functions and Responsibilities
Within the framework of the NAFSA Strategic Plan, this position will:
- Serve as the conduit for information between EAKC and the education abroad regional liaisons from the eleven NAFSA regions
- Host meetings for regional liaisons to discuss trends, needs, and issues, and facilitate communication
- Attend EAKC leadership meetings including the on-boarding orientation and WLM, participate in conference calls, execute other assignments received from the chair, and represent the EA KC at annual and regional conference activities when appropriate
- Manage the EAKC pin design dontest for each annual conference
- Maintain attentiveness to development and implementation of EA programs; concerns and issues of the NAFSA regions, observing, prompting, and participating in the online EAKC Network discussions forums and reading NAFSA.news.

- Facilitated a podcast conversation between four EAKC regional liaisons about on-campus partner relationship building
- Tip sheet about integrating career skills into education abroad syllabi
- Collaborated with EAKC partners to support EAKC-related sessions being proposed to regional conferences
Qualifications
- Previous volunteer/presentation experience with NAFSA
- A minimum of three years’ experience in education abroad
- An active interest in assisting colleagues with professional and leadership development
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to adopt organization-wide perspectives.
- Preferred experience: service on a NAFSA regional leadership team
