Conference Grants

Region XI is pleased to announce 10 registration grants for the cost of Early Bird registration to the NAFSA All-Region Summit. We welcome applications from all international educators in the region. NAFSA Membership is not required to apply for a grant, and newcomers, students, and members from underrepresented institutions are especially encouraged to apply. Apply for a registration grant here! Region XI Awards

Do you have a colleague or a mentor in the region who has gone above and beyond this year? Recognize their hard work and nominate them for an award! This is a great way to express your appreciation, especially after the extra challenging year we've had. Submit your nomination here; nominations are due by September 25. The Region XI Mentor/Mentee Program is designed to pair professionals who are seeking connections with others in the field, whether new to international education and/or NAFSA, seasoned NAFSA members and professionals in the field, or any variation thereof. This program promises to be a great opportunity for both mentors and mentees to engage in meaningful connection and collegiality. 

With access and equity at the core of our efforts in Region XI, we've worked hard to create an experience that is valuable for mentors and mentees alike and provides necessary space and flexibility for all degrees of interest and involvement. 

The Fall 2021 program includes:

• Mentor/Mentee Opening Kick-Off, September 14, 4-4:30pm
• 3 one-on-one meetings with mentor and mentee pairs, from September 14 through November 15 via zoom or phone (scheduled by mentor and mentee pairs)
• Special Topic #1, September 30, 4-4:30pm (topic to be determined)
• Special Topic #2, October 28, 4-4:30pm (topic to be determined)
• Mentor/Mentee Closing Ceremony, November 15, 4-4:30pm

If you're interested in participating in this year's cohort, please complete the mentor/mentee sign-up form. Registration is open through August 30th; Mentors and Mentees will receive their match before the Welcome Kick-Off on September 14, 2021.

Please be advised that all presenters, including session and poster presenters, are required to attend the Summit. The cost associated with attendance, including registration, is the responsibility of the individual presenters.
