Tools for Building a Virtual Orientation During a Pandemic

In the last several months, institutions had to quickly transition traditional in-person activities online, including orientations for new, incoming international students. In this session, representatives from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will provide an overview of different approaches to virtual orientations for new international students and provide tips for integrating these approaches into an institution's own student engagement plan. Attendees will walk away with best practices and resources for creating their own virtual orientations, which can be modified for any situation or scaled for any institution size. Participants in the session will also be encouraged to share their own experiences and ask questions of the presenters.

This is a round table discussion on the campus crisis management and leadership during this unprecedented time of a global pandemic.
