The 2024 Bi-Regional I and II Conference will take place in Vancouver, Canada. All attendees are encouraged to make plans to stay at the conference hotel. Important travel information from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regarding the NAFSA 2024 Bi-Regional I and II Conference:
For all:
- All attendees entering Canada must provide valid identification (typically a passport).

- US citizens do not need a visa to enter Canada.
- Visa-exempt travelers (excluding US citizens) need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter or transit Canada. More info here [link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta/apply.html].

For Exhibitors:
- Temporary Imports: Non-Canadian exhibitors can bring display items duty-free under specific conditions (tariff classification 9993.00.00.00), but must export them post-event.
- Giveaway items must be declared and require duty/tax payment upon import.
- To facilitate border procedures during entry into Canada, each participant should have a copy of the CBSA letter included in their registration confirmation, and be in possession of an itemized list of articles stating description, quantity, and value for presentation to CBSA officials.
