"It is physically impossible to go faster or do better than your strategic relationships." That's the one key concept Michael Webb, founder and CEO of Michael Moto, LLC, an international organization with headquarters in Denver and Tokyo, wanted participants to remember from his special session on Developing Global Strategic Relationships held Thursday afternoon during NAFSA's annual conference.
Webb, who lead the original venture between Toyota and General Motors and oversaw the launch of the Boeing 777, walked the audience through a diagram on "working together," which is composed of equal parts roadmap, values, decisionmaking, and conflict resolution.
"Communication is the most important element and common denominator," Webb said.
