Katie Kirkland

Katie has been in the Education Abroad field since 2012. As the Director of Global Travel and Exchanges until 2018 at Providence Day School in Charlotte, NC, she created new risk management trainings, developed faculty-led global travel programs and exchange opportunities for 900 middle school and high school students, created pre-departure orientations for families, and assisted with the school’s membership into Round Square International. In her current role, she is the Director of International Education at Northwood University managing their Study Abroad office and developing new curricular and co-curricular programs for undergraduate students. Katie holds her M.Ed. in Global Studies from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
