U.S. State Department (DOS) Student/Exchange Visitor Visa Center

The U.S. State Department (DOS) Bureau of Consular Affairs Public Liaison Unit now has a Student/Exchange Visitor Visa Center. All schools and exchange sponsors can submit visa inquiries on F or M students, J exchange visitors, or their dependents through the following email address: fmjvisas@state.gov. DOS hopes the new e-mail and center will provide even better service to schools and sponsors. More information on Student Visas can be found on the DOS Student Visas web site.

Note: If a student or exchange visitor would like to find out about a visa case, s/he should continue to use the current Public Inquiries number (202.663.1225).
