This Word document that the Social Security Administration (SSA) shared with NAFSA is the revised Dear Colleague letter that SSA field office managers use with the schools and universities in their service areas.  The letter outlines F-1 and M-1 student SSN policies, and may be useful to campuses that must explain the SSN requirements to their F-1/M-1 students and their employers.
