New NAFSA Board Member Elected |
| |
On July 1, the NAFSA Board of Directors elected Francisco Marmolejo to fill the board seat left vacant due to the passing of Bob Brennan. Marmolejo is executive director of the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC), a network of more than 130 colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He is also assistant vice president for Western Hemispheric Programs at the University of Arizona. Marmolejo has been active within NAFSA Region II leadership.

For the fourth consecutive year, International Educator has developed a compendium of books for international advisers and their students. Exchange Visitor Program Terminates J-1 Flight Training Program Designations |
| |
Effective June 1, 2010, the State Department will terminate the J program designations of all eight sponsors of J-1 flight training programs, having determined these programs "no longer further the public diplomacy mission of the Department of State."
